Fit for Every Door!
Dock seal pads are installed around your overhead dock door to act as a barrier between your interior environment separate and the elements outside. Trucks at the dock compress the foam loading dock door seal pads, eliminating the gap between the building and the truck trailer or body. Using loading dock seals reduces energy costs at your facility.
Seals vs Shelters
A loading dock seal is a foam pad installed around the door opening to seal a trailer against the building wall. A common misconception is that this is a bumper. These are not bumpers and will not stop a truck from hitting a building wall. A dock shelter encloses the trailer body to seal the outside air from entering the building.
Truck Parameters
A dock seal is used for docks that see consistent sized trailers, as they capture tight variances in trailers. A shelter is used for docks that service varying types of trailers, especially with liftgates or extensions. They capture a wider range of trucks or trailers.
Options
Dock seals and shelters are available with various fabric strengths, pleats, and dimensions among other options. Individual parts and pads are also available.
Canopies
Water (and snow for cold climates) is a sore spot for dock workers and can take carful focus to resolve. Resolutions for a tighter top seal include dock canopies that install on the wall above the dock seal or shelter. They create a barrier from excessive snow or water hitting the dock enclosure. WeatherGuard head seals are also available. They are a hybrid canopy and head seal beyond a standard dock seal. The WeatherGuard provides a tighter seal to prevent trailer roof water from entering the dock.
